Sustainability is at the core of everything we do.
After all, what good is looking great if you can’t maintain it?
Or if the only way to maintain it is with an hour of daily cardio, 5 or 6 weights sessions a week, and spending almost your entire day hungry?
Even if you can maintain that for a few weeks -- or even a few months -- at some point, everybody breaks, and then comes the inevitable binge, or post-diet rebound.
That’s not what we want.
In fact, we have 3 rules with how we coach our online clients:
RULE #1: EAT AT LEAST 1 MEAL A DAY WITH THE FAMILY
Getting in great shape is all about making manageable changes and introducing strategy that means you get results,
BUT!
Not at the expense of the family.
Too many times I've seen busy Mums & Dads go all in with diets that restrict certain food types and have them eating out of plastic pots for every meal.
Not only isn't this sustainable but it's going to annoy the family pretty quick.
A great nutrition strategy doesn't have to be extreme.
Sure there are changes you need to make BUT it's vital you do this alongside being a great parent.
I want you to enjoy your food and that's why we insist on eating at least 1 meal a day with the family.
It's normally dinner because you're all there and you tend to be relaxed but it doesn't have to be.
By learning how to cook tasty meals that are healthy and high in protein not only do you start to become leaner and see your body change but you are pioneering something the family will benefit from too.
RULE #2: ADD AS LITTLE INTO YOUR DAILY SCHEDULE AS POSSIBLE.
It's a reality that we're all busy.
Especially parents!
One of the biggest things other coaches get wrong is they copy and paste plans!
They do it with zero to no regard for your lifestyle or the responsibilities already in place.
Try giving a busy Mum or Dad 6 workouts a week to do!
It's just not going to happen.
The same goes for food.
If you think Karen is spending an extra hour a day in the kitchen you're just setting her up for failure.
That's why accuracy is so important!
Give parents the most effective tasks and make sure they squeeze every ounce out of them.
Not only do they get great results building Body Confidence but they feel like they have more time too.
That's what I like to call a 'Win Win'.
RULE #3: BUILD CONFIDENCE IN AND OUT OF THE GYM
The #1 reason people fail in the gym is they don't have a clue why they're there.
It's hard and they've never had anyone explain what they stand to gain for making the effort.
Parents are no different and for years, running, playing sport and just staying active kept them in shape.
But now life has changed and the have zero to no time to spare.
They have to do things differently.
Repeating the same methods as always is only going to lead to overwhelm and that's what we want to avoid.
